Jasper National Park

Jasper National Park is full of places to visit and to explore the magnificent lakes, falls, walking and biking trails, and campsites and is one of the Best Places to Visit in Canadian Rockies. We started our journey to Jasper National Park from Banff and took the Highway 93 or Icefields Parkway from Trans Canada Highway near Lake Louise. It was a rainy morning in first week of September. As soon as we entered the Highway 93 we found ourselves driving through the forest and scenery was beautiful. It was our first driving on Highway 93 although we visit Jasper so many times but this time we decide to drive from Banff instead of driving from Edmonton and decide to explore the Rockies as much as we can. Here is some of the places we stopped and spend time to enjoy the natural beauty in the Rockies.

Mosquito Creek

Mosquito Creek is around 83 km from Banff and 24 km from Lake Louise. There is also a campground which offers picnic table and fire pits.  Mosquito Creek is flowing from the top of the Majestic Cliffs of Mount Hector and water is so clean and refreshing that we decided to spend some time and enjoy this beautiful place. There were so many campers enjoying the rain and beautiful morning and some were setting up there barbeques and some were walking along the creek. Here you can setup a tent or you can bring you RV. Potable water, dry toilets and a sheltered camp kitchen are also available in the campground and no doubt it is one the Best Places to Visit along the Highway 93.

Bow Lake

As we left Mosquito Creek we spotted a black bear along the highway and decided to stop and take some pictures. As we stopped and start taking pictures almost every vehicles start stopping and start taking pictures of this cub. After this we stop at Bow Lake which is right beside the road is fed by glacier. Bow Lake looks like more blue than green and it keep changing throughout the summer. You can also stay overnight at Num-Ti-Jah Lodge, which is located close the shoreline and enjoy one of the Best Places to Visit along the Icefields Parkway.

Tangle Falls

Tangle Falls are located right on the Icefields Parkway and there is a pullout for the falls. We spotted it as there were peoples standing on the side of Icefields Parkway and taking pictures. It has three tiers of cascades and is framed with orange tinted rocks and alpine firs. There is also tangle creek which you can explore if you like walking and hiking and enjoy one of the Best Places to Visit along Icefields Parkway.

We spotted this beautiful lake along the Icefields Parkway as we continued our journey towards Jasper. It was a rainy morning in early September and it started clearing as we continue towards Jasper.
